Business insurance for Geauga County and Northeast Ohio businesses

If you run a business, the hours you are free to talk about insurance are the hours most agencies are closed. We meet evenings and weekends by appointment for that reason. We quote your coverage with multiple companies and explain what each part is for, so you are not paying for things you do not need or finding a gap after a claim.

About us

A family-owned agency in Chardon

MC Insurance Group is run by Michael and Sarah Began, a husband and wife team with close to 30 combined years in the insurance industry. When you call, you get one of us, not AI or an overseas representative.

We're Geauga County locals raising our two boys in Chardon. We shop your coverage with multiple carriers at no cost to you, and we never pressure anyone into a policy.

What most small businesses need

  • General liability. Injury or property damage claims from customers and the public. Most contracts and leases require it.

  • Business owners policy (BOP). Liability and property bundled for small businesses, usually for less than buying them separately.

  • Commercial property. Your building, equipment, inventory, and the income you lose if a covered loss shuts you down.

  • Commercial auto. Vehicles titled to the business or used for work. A personal auto policy can deny a claim that happens on the job.

  • Tools and equipment. Covers what travels to job sites, which a property policy tied to one address does not.

Workers' compensation works differently in Ohio

If you have employees and are not sure you are set up with the BWC, tell us and we will point you to the right place.

Certificates of insurance, without the wait

If a general contractor or property manager wants a certificate before you can start, waiting two days for it costs you money. Text or email us who needs it and what they asked for.

Businesses we work with

If your business is not on this list, call anyway. If none of our companies is a fit, we will tell you that on the first call.
